How do I become an Apprentice?

If you’re up to the challenge and are interested in becoming an ironworker and live in one of the following counties – All of Cuyahoga, Lake and Lorain and most of Ashtabula, Erie, Geauga, Huron, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties.

If you do not reside in one of the counties listed, please visit http://www.impact-net.org for the local in your area.

Apprenticeship applications are accepted Monday through Friday, 9:00am-2:00 pm, in the months of February & March and August & September. Testing will be done with complete application at:

Ironworkers Local 17 Union Hall
1544 East 23rd street
Cleveland, OH 44114.

Applications are kept on file until needed. Testing and accepting of an apprentice class depends on work situation and the project need.
